History

G4S has a heritage of more than 100 years

G4S started its activities in Morocco in 1995 as a security solutions provider.

The company acquired Maroc Protection Surveillance and Veil’24 in February 2000 and in 2003, Group 4 Falck acquired Wackenhut.

In June 2004 Group 4 Falck merged with Securicor. The new combined group was called Group 4 Securicor and became the largest secure solutions provider in the world.

In December 2007, the Moroccan Group 4 Securicor business merged with General Private Services « GPS » and with Veil'24 companies.

On 1 January 2009 Group 4 Securicor became G4S.
